KRAUL is a generational portrait of the female line of a family. We follow three main characters during a family visit to a swimming pool, observing their learned patterns and the differences in how they deal with them. Caught in mother–daughter dynamics, the characters oscillate between autonomy and dependence in their search for balance, repeatedly finding themselves bound to one another in ways that are sometimes inexplicable even to them.
